The Lord has been pruning me the last few weeks, and this book has been just one of the ways He has been speaking to my heart. Take a minute to read through just a few snippets that have stood out to me. The whole book is pretty much yellowed with a highlighter, lol! So good!
I have recently come out of a season of hiddenness at home. Being a stay-at-home/homeschool mama for 20 years at times felt very isolating and thankless. Toward the tail end of that journey the Lord began to use me to teach others in a more public way. Both can be uncomfortable at times. Both are so easy to give into the temptation of self-pity or pride.
And even in this newer season of public preaching/teaching I have to guard myself against those temptations and always check my heart. Bottom line is I only want to do whatever I do, in service to God and others. And be open that it may look different than I planned.
Whether you find yourself in a season behind a pulpit, with a microphone of sorts, in the corporate world, or hidden in your home with little ones, know that all of it is sacred to the Lord when you are loving Him and your neighbors well. May each of us echo Jenny Papapostolou's prayer: "God, I don't care what it looks like, as long as I'm following You." ~Be Blessed, Jenny
