It's a very proud moment for our country that Indian athlete, Gurdeep Singh won the bronze medal in the men's 109-plus at the commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham. This is the 10th medal in weightlifting for India in the ongoing commonwealth games 2022.

Gurdeep Singh won the bronze with a total lift of 390kg in the men's 109-plus in the commonwealth games 2022. Firstly, he failed to lift 167kg snatch in the first attempt and later he lifted the same weight in snatch in the second attempt. But he failed to lift a 173kg snatch in the third attempt.

In the first attempt, Gurdeep lifted 207kg in the clean and jerk category. But again, he failed to lift 215 kg in the second attempt. He successfully lifted 223 kg in the third attempt in the clean and jerk category. He won the bronze medal with a total lift of 390kg (167 +223) kg in the men's 109-plus at the commonwealth games 2022.
