Joshua Baraka represents the change that Uganda desperately needed. Although I adore Ugandan music, we had to transform from kadongo kamu and the monotonous beat adopted by almost all producers. Joshua's unique sound is a refreshing departure from tradition.

Although I am not a music critic, allow me to express my thoughts based on the insights I have gathered about the evolution of Ugandan music. As a child, it was disheartening that artists like Racheal K did not receive much recognition despite creating excellent songs which I personally enjoyed. It is intriguing to imagine what could have been if Lydia Jazmine maintained her initial sound and direction in the industry. Fortunately, Navio stayed true and consistent with his craft over time. By any chance, are you familiar with Kitaka's work?
Taking inspiration from Chris Brown, the music video not only delivered exceptional vocals and irresistible sex appeal but also presented Luganda in a remarkably seductive manner. Despite being unable to comprehend Nigerian lyrics, we still groove to their beats - this has always puzzled me. Could Uganda replicate such an enigmatic approach?
