A Balata, Babonneau woman was found dead at her home on Tuesday morning, hours before she was due to see her Doctor.
Family members said the deceased, Gertrude Demille, had been ailing for some time and had been making frequent trips to get medical attention.
Her husband, Simeon Demille, told reporters his wife has always been sick.
"Yesterday, I took my wife to Tapion (Hospital) to get all her medicines," the husband recalled.
He said that, at his wife's request, he cooked a fish meal with rice. She watched cricket on television for the entire day, ate, and went to bed happy about her team's performance.
Simeon said he left home at about 5:20 am on Tuesday for work, returned and found his wife dead in their bedroom.
A sister of the deceased told reporters she got no response from Gertrude Demille when calling to arrange to accompany the deceased to the Doctor.
