Psalm 27:4 – "I'm asking the Lord for only one thing. Here is what I want. I want to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. I want to look at the beauty of the Lord. I want to worship him in his temple."
This week the lottery games are big. The Powerball is over $485 million. Wow!!
Just yesterday, one of my good attorney friends told me he had just bought his lucky ticket. He explained that he never looks at the results until the next morning. He does that so he can dream all night long about what he would do if he actually won. I am sure today, if you asked him to choose only one wish to be granted, it would be to have the winning ticket.

Here, the psalmist describes his heart's desire. If he could only have one thing, it would be to sit in the presence of God. To see Him and to worship Him all the days of his life.
How do you as a believer respond to this big question? I am not sure it is the measure of how perfect you are in God's will, but it is a good question to help you examine where you are today in your focus on life.
Yes, I would love to win the Powerball. I would be a good steward of the money. But sooner or later, the money would pass. But I must say, being in the presence of God will last forever. Now that's the wish of a real winner.
Stay healthy and have a blessed day!
