If they had no building, a tent would do; Now few still hear our Master's call. - We would set on the makeshift seats No building, just an old canvas tent. We would listen to the word and sing Thankful for every moment we spent. - With sawdust spread under our feet; Many poor sinners answered the call. The preacher man ate with us folks Chicken or game didn't matter at all. - We would share bread and a room, He would preach for a week or so. The preacher covered a lot of land; So from place to place he would go. - The family read God's word daily, Such are the ways from long ago.
