Scores of workers employed with Anse Chastanet Hotel based in Soufriere, will benefit from a new industrial agreement negotiated on their behalf, between the National Workers Union (NWU) and the Management of Anse Chastanet Hotel.
Provisions of the new industrial accord are as follows:
- Fifteen percent (15%) general wage increase over two triennia: 2020-2023 and 2023-2026
- Back pay compensation
- Bonus
- Uniforms
- Leave for private and urgent affairs
The Company and the Union will engage in discussions that will outline a plan for personal development of employees and a more vigorous training programme that would help to sharpen overall operational performance.
The new industrial accord will be officially signed between the parties via the Department of Labour.
Anse Chastanet Hotel and the National Workers Union have an industrial relations relationship spanning over twenty (20) years.
