Suddenly, our eyes open, naturally or by the alarm.
Here we go again; another morning is here and we must get busy. Check a home, a house, a bus station, the streets, the highways etc and all you will see are frenzies of activities.
It is like a whistle has been blown and all you see are movements from the north, south, east and west. It is just like everyone has been programmed.
Buses are full, the roads are jammed with traffic and everyone is just waiting to get to his or her destination.
It is amazing how you see people sit in buses quiet, some on their phones (because that is the only time they've got to reply texts, e-mails or do devotions etc) just waiting to get to their destinations and continue to be on the move.
We get to our places of work: we settle down and start working; converse with friends, enjoy each other's company (Because for some, it is only at work they find companionship); we round up with the day's work and immediately, we hit the road again.
Each finds his or her way to his or her abode, get something to eat, sit by the television to stay current or entertained, wash down and prepare to retire to bed.
You check the streets and you see them gradually becoming empty. Finally, you see the streets empty, there is silence everywhere and the world comes to a standstill.
This is the cycle we find ourselves in as humans. It never ends; it is a continuous loop until one falls out and becomes a memory to loved ones.
You may want to ask yourself, what is the goal of this continuous loop?
Why was man created into this loop?
What is it that we get from this continuous loop?
Can there be more beyond this loop? And finally, what is it that we seek to find when we allow ourselves to be driven by this continuous loop?
As you read this, I think this may be the right time to give yourself a break, search your inner man and ask yourself the big question: WHAT IS IT THAT I SEEK?
What do I seek to find from this continuous loop than never ends?
What do I seek to achieve?
What do I seek to harness?
What do I seek to become?
Is there something I seek to enjoy?
Is there something I seek to have fulfilment?
Is there something I seek find happiness?
Is there something I seek to make a mark?
Is there something I seek to leave behind when I finally fall out of this continuous loop?
TODAY, I ASK YOU, WITH ALL THE BUSINESSES OF LIFE, WHAT SEEKEST THOU IN THIS LIFE?
