Shotgun Wedding is a 2022 American romantic action comedy. It stars Jennifer Lopez (playing the role of a bride for the 10th time) Jennifer Coolidge, Josh Duhamel and others. This movie is about a couple Darcey (Jennifer Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel) . Darcy and Tom planned a destination wedding that was to take place at a private island in the Philippines .
At the rehearsal dinner, everyone was happy and although they both had crazy family, they got along well. The couple were congratulated and everything went well. Then the wedding day comes and the excitement from the rehearsal dinner that took place a night before was still in the air. The couple were getting ready while the guests were already seated but then, a group of pirates attack the wedding guests and the pirates wanted to kidnap the couple for a ransom. But since the couple had not yet arrived at the wedding venue, some of the pirates went in search of them while others kept an eye on the guests.
Meanwhile, the couple were having an argument when the pirates arrived. Their emotions had been bottled up and it just all came out on the day of the wedding. They discover that the pirates were attacking their guests and they run away to find help. Eventually, the pirates caught up with them and they were captured. The pirates demanded a ransom of $45 million from the father of the bride who refused to pay. The couple still tried to get away and call for help. Did they succeed or do they end up dead? Viewers of this movie are not so impressed by it because it tried to blend three genres of movie together and it did a bad job at it. And most of the scenes seemed to be copied from other movies and this one lacks originality. Also Jlo is playing the role of a bride for the 10th time people want to see something different from her. This movie is good to while away time and keep you entertained for a short time. It has a little bit of humour . The main characters did a good job and they had great chemistry on screen. We could see that they really loved each other and wanted their relationship to work. Although the wedding guests won't forget this wedding in a hurry the viewers would.
