Que faire quand plus d'un tiers des chefs d'entreprises belges interrogés perçoivent la cybersécurité comme un frein plutôt qu'un boost pour les entreprises ? C'est la question que pose, indirectement, la dernière étude Trend Micro.
« S'ils souhaitent que leurs investissements dans la sécurité leur rapportent plus, les chefs d'entreprise doivent repenser leur posture vis-à-vis de la cybersécurité, estime Steven Heyde, Regional Director Benelux. Trend Micro. Ce qui veut dire considérer les bénéfices qu'elle peut apporter. Alors que chaque euro compte, il est préoccupant de voir encore tant de stéréotypes sur la cybersécurité dominer l'opinion des décideurs. »
Quand bien même 64 % des 1.000 chefs d'entreprise belges interrogés annoncent vouloir augmenter leurs investissements dans la cybersécurité en 2023, ils y viennent sous la contrainte. La relation entre la cybersécurité et les autres éléments de l'organisation reste délicate. Pas moins de 61 % des décideurs belges (51 % à l'échelle mondiale) estiment que la cybersécurité est une dépense nécessaire, mais ne considèrent pas qu'elle influence positivement les revenus. De plus, 44 % (48 % dans le monde) estiment que son intérêt est limité tant qu'il n'y a pas eu de cyberattaques ou de menaces. Plus d'un tiers des Belges interrogés (37 % versus 38 % dans le monde) perçoivent la cybersécurité comme un frein plutôt qu'un boost pour les entreprises.
L'interaction entre sécurité et business de plus en plus grande
D'un autre côté, 66 % (81 % dans le monde) d'entre eux craignent qu'une cybersécurité insuffisante puisse influencer négativement leur capacité à décrocher de nouveaux contrats. Et 14 % admettent que c'est déjà leur cas… Plus de la moitié des chefs d'entreprises belges (55 %) déclarent d'ailleurs que leur niveau de sécurité leur a déjà été demandé pour des prospects et des fournisseurs lors de négociations. Et 76 % d'entre eux déclarent qu'ils reçoivent de plus en plus de questions de ce type.
Une autre observation met également cette opposition tranchée entre les différentes positions en évidence. Bien que les prospects et fournisseurs donnent clairement la priorité à la sécurité, à peine 51 % des chefs d'entreprise belges perçoivent un lien étroit, voire très étroit, entre la cybersécurité et leur capacité à décrocher de nouveaux clients et à obtenir leur satisfaction.
La cybersécurité pour attirer de nouveaux talents… et les garder
La perception des chefs d'entreprise du rapport entre la cybersécurité et le reste de l'entreprise est également lacunaire en ce qui concerne l'attraction de nouveaux talents. 63 % indiquent que la possibilité des employés de travailler d'où bon leur semble est désormais une question essentielle dans la guerre des talents. Toutefois, seul un tiers des décideurs voit un lien étroit entre la cybersécurité et leur capacité à garder leurs travailleurs (37 %) ou à en attirer de nouveaux (35 %).
Les participants belges reconnaissent malgré tout l'impact de la cybersécurité sur l'expérience des travailleurs. Ainsi, une minorité estime que leur politique de sécurité actuelle a impacté négativement la capacité des travailleurs à travailler en distanciel. 21 % d'entre eux rencontrent des problèmes de connexion, 27 % ont des soucis d'accès aux informations et 26 % déplorent un ralentissement de leur rythme de travail à cause des checks de sécurité. L'étude indique encore que 41 % disent que la politique de sécurité actuelle impose des limitations à la capacité des employés de travailler de partout. Enfin, 48 % avancent que la politique actuelle limite les options d'appareils/plateformes utilisables par les travailleurs…
