As a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks wants to ensure residents are educated and aware of the county's programs, resources, and support. Prince George's County has one of the highest mortality rates of breast cancer in the state of Maryland. The county wants to change that. Challenges in education, awareness, clinical testing, early detection, and screenings are challenges the county wants to counteract in order to fight breast cancer. The county invites survivors and supporters to join in as Prince George's Goes Pink in events throughout the month. We are excited to launch a new initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month called Prince George's Goes Pink.
