The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post in the Division of Finance and Business Services:
Accounting Assistant – Customer Service
(Temporary – Level 5B)
The Accounting Assistant – Customer Service will assist UTech clients by receiving and responding to student accounting enquiries. He/she investigates queries by obtaining, and verifying the accuracy of financial information in a timely manner to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are maintained.
Academic Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess:
- Diploma in Business Administration/CAT Level II or AAT/NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification.
- at least two (2) years clerical accounting and customer service experience
Additional Requirements
The candidate must:
- have sound knowledge of the relevant accounting applications and knowledgeable of the accounting principles and practices;
- have a working knowledge of the Integrated Student Administration System (ISAS)
- possess sound customer service techniques, practices and principles.
