As of today, I own 2882 books (1 more than I owned last week).

With that number of books, I must sort them in categories in order to locate them easier. As of now, I have these books sorted into 37 categories.

Today I continue posting my "Top 10" lists of my favorite books in some of those categories. There are likely books that I need to add to my shelves; so, when you see my list, make suggestions for what else I should buy and read.

If a book doesn't make my list, I might own it and simply have not read it yet.

So...here is a list of my Top 10 books on the church (or "ecclesiology") on my shelf.

  1. Lectures to My Students by Charles Spurgeon
  2. The Reformed Pastor by Richard Baxter
  3. The Christian Ministry by Charles Bridges
  4. The Trellis and the Vine (and The Vine Project) by Colin Marshall and Tony Payne
  5. The Mentoring Church by Phil Newton
  6. The Deliberate Church: Building Your Ministry on the Gospel by Mark Dever and Paul Alexander
  7. The Compelling Community: Where God's Power Makes a Church Attractive by Mark Dever and Jamie Dunlop
  8. Crisis of Caring by Jerry Bridges
