Fight A Little Longer My Friend! God Still Finds You...
But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. "But you are my witnesses, O Israel!" says the Lord. "You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. This morning I'm here to tell you to fight a little longer as God still finds you and whatever as a people we are facing is passing regardless what we see. God says, "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Can any thing beat these words even as the year ends we know that God has our back and goes through the storm with us and where we are at our weakest He steps in and takes us through. It has been a tough past quarter for my family. Watching my dad a very strong man slowly become helpless can be depressing especially when he is my best friend and hero. Yet when sanity is clear he still tells me to hold on to God and fret not as the passage today tells me. Our children have faced varying situations of life but they keep fighting and holding on knowing God always finds us no matter what.
I turn 50 and step on to the fifth floor but for once I am not keen to go forward. Bones creaking from over use as a footballer and many injuries also have left a depressing feeling but I find daily a reason to be grateful and fight through the pain. I daily fight to keep my home and the sanity that we all require. I have no plans for my 50th and my wife has given me the greatest gift of a family. Just fight a little longer my friendIt's all worth it in the end But when you got nobody to turn to Just hold on and I'll find you I'll find you I'll find you Just hold on and I'll find you... Lacrae croons and encourages me this morning. Depression is real and have lived with it for most of my adult life but even now I know I don't fight on my own. God has always had my back.
This morning someone needs to be encouraged that when you have no one or no where to turn to just hold on God always finds you. I'm hangin' on by a thread And all I'm clinging to is prayersAnd every breath is like a battle I feel like I ain't come prepared And death's knockin' on the front door Pain's creepin' through the back Fear's crawlin' through the windows Waiting for 'em to attack They say "Don't get bitter, get better" I'm workin' on switchin' them letters But tell God, I'ma need a whole lotta hope keepin' it together I'm smilin' in everyone's face I'm cryin' whenever they leave the room They don't know the battle I face They don't understand what I'm goin' through. The world tryna play with my soul I'm just tryna find where to go I'm tryna remember the way I'm tryna get back to my home But I can't do this on my own That's why I'm just trusting in You 'Cause I don't know where else to go And I don't know what else to do... It is all worth it in the end. As the year ends fight a little longer God has not left us without help.
God says to tell you today, First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. I don't know who wants to give up but, this morning keep fighting its a phase and Jesus has your back just hold on He will find you. If anyone needs to talk please I am ever available.
