This past week the FIFA competitive team had their first tournament of the semester which did not quite go according to plan due to the platform that the game was running on. I created some content for the team leading up to their first tournament which will be used on the departments Instagram and Tik Tok accounts. I learned that attention to detail when making shorts is key because when creating in camera transitions, you have to pay close attention to textures and colors to really pull the effect off.

Apart from the FIFA team, I was able to connect with Nathan Davis who is the lead videographer for Dallas Mavericks gaming. i will be conducting an interview to learn about Davis and his career. In addition, I would like to learn about his workflow within Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro to see what areas I could improve on and tips that I could take from someone who is more experienced than me both behind a camera and editing software. I believe that this could be my most important and beneficial project of my internship.

My most important learning point for this week was to be prepared! I learned that if you are prepared then you are setting yourself up for success and the margin for error becomes much smaller. I began incorporating a shot list and notebook in my work which greatly assisted me when I was behind a camera because I could just take a look at my shot list instead of trying to remember shots from the top of my head.
