In business, a big dose of courage is needed.

Not as a one-off, but ongoing courage that comes from the pit of your gut, in the face of adverse conditions and uncertainty. Courage takes you to a place of mental, moral, physical and spiritual strength, to persevere through rejection, unfairness, and what can appear to be insurmountable difficulties. When someone says or shows you a thousand ways why you can't move forward, moving on bravely when the odds seem stacked against you takes courage. In sales, its courageous to keep going out to the same folks trying to get different responses and results, but, in the end its that courage that shows your commitment, zeal, and belief in what you're offering!

Here are some quotes that describe courage;

1."Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." - Thomas Edison

Trying one more time takes courage, and in sales one more time is needed when targets and goals are being chased. When one door closes, knock and ask when to return!

2.You're not obligated to win. You're obligated to keep trying to do the best you can every day." - Marian Wright Edelman

Well I like winning, and even when the outcome is not the prize, my efforts are winners. Have the courage to push through, trying daily to better your best, and you will win daily!

3."Growth and comfort do not coexist." - Ginni Rometty

Getting uncomfortable with the status quo is a sure way of elevating your game. It takes courage to move into discomfort and difficult challenging situations, however the rewards of discomfort are where fulfillment of dreams reside - big deals and bigger returns. Your courage will help you grow, just as being comfortable will invite laziness to step in. Work with courage!

4."Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." - Dale Carnegie

Every time you take action to do that which you fear, courage jumps out to help you along. It takes mental strength and physical movement to step up, and away from fear, and courage makes that happen!

5."Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage." - Anais Nin

Courage for the salesman or entrepreneur or businessperson is second-nature. Deciding to go into business or reach out to someone to offer your services takes consistent courage, perseverance and belief in the value you're giving. Keep doing it- have courage!
