I’m sending along three quick tips to start off your Monday on a strong note. Small but actionable steps you can take immediately to earn more respect, be taken more seriously, and have your ideas heard with more authority: |
- Consciously speak slower. Most people rush through their ideas, signaling that they secretly don't think they deserve someone's attention very long. Pay attention to your pace and imagine you’re slowing the speed on an editor by just a few percent. You’ll sound more intentional and deliberate. |
- Put 10% more effort into how you dress. Level-up something simple, pay extra attention to detail, do 3 small things you don't think people will notice. As a collective, they'll send a different message. |
- Set a goal this week to introduce yourself to 5 new people that you've never met. At work, the coffee shop, in line at the grocery store. Practice stepping outside of your comfort zone and starting conversations. You’ll notice that most people will respond in kind with at least a smile or a nod, and you’ll start feeling more comfortable doing this more often. |
For those who don’t reply, you’ll also start to realize that they know absolutely nothing about you, so their lack of response can’t possibly be personal towards you. This also helps you feel more comfortable because you’ll understand that their battle isn’t with you…it’s with themselves. |
If you begin patterns of adding small new behaviors into your days, you'll notice the results snowball exponentially into a completely different view of yourself. |
A better vision of yourself leads to better beliefs about yourself, which leads to better behaviors, which then lead to better results. |
This is how you improve every day. |
Let me know how it goes. |

P.S.: If you’re looking for a private advisor to help you develop these qualities, let’s talk. |
