Not that there is anything wrong with praising someone for a job well done- it's great to recognize that and give credit where credit is due. But how about you? How often does somebody compliment you and you return the compliment with something like "Yeah, but did you see what John did? He's so much more talented than me, I wish I could do that." And John can hear you and thinks to himself "Wow, Marie is so gifted and she just doesn't see it. She has so much to be proud of."
