TOPIC: THE SPIRIT SPEAKS (2)

TEXT: ACTS 10:19
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. KJV

Apostle Peter had a vision shortly after he prayed and was about to eat. God intended to pass the message of his will to save both Jews and Gentiles alike, which was in the fulfilment of the death and resurrection of Jesus. For the will of God is to save all men and bring them to the knowledge of the truth.

The Apostles were yet to fully understand this plan and God stepped him by his power to direct their heart to his will. Through the vision he revealed to Apostle Peter, he established that all men are cleansed by faith and not by tribe, culture or race. Therefore, no one should be considered unqualified to receive God's gospel of grace and redemption by the blood of Jesus.

While Peter thought on the vision to understand what the meaning and interpretation was, the Spirit said unto him, three men seek thee, follow them and do not doubt, for I have sent them. (Acts 10:19-20). By the voice of God, who spoke through his Holy spirit, Apostle Peter was able to bring the good news to the household of Cornelius, the centurion, who was not a Jew. (Acts 10)

The desire of God is that you will hear his voice and follow his instructions. He intends to change the status quo and pull down the structures built by men against his plan and purposes. This can only be achieved by the power of his spirit. For by strength shall no man prevail.

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Therefore, it is impossible to fulfil the will of God through the arm of flesh. The Holy ghost speaks, and you can hear him. You should fellowship with him and keep your mind set on God's will. Talk to him and he will respond. Don't forget that the word of God is the written voice of God. Therefore, the Holy spirit will always lead and speak in line with God's word.

God has spoken and it was documented in written form. Regardless, he speaks by his spirit that we might have experiences in accordance with his will. You can hear when he speaks. Be conscious of his presence.

PRAYER

Thank you Lord for I can hear your voice by your spirit. I am your child, and your voice is my desire. I give myself to your will in prayer and in the study of your word in Jesus' name. Amen
