Q: Good morning PD sir...
It has been awhile...😊
I have a pressing question that I really need answer to.
Is it possible to get the answer of enquiry about a life partner from the scripture? If yes, what are the right questions to ask our heavenly Father that will prompt Him to answer and direct us to the right answers in the scripture?
Which I believe knowing this will really help me to know how to ask God the right questions about life in general that will give me the right answers in the scripture.
Thank you sir 🙏🏾
A: So your question is whether it is basically possible to get answers from the word of God regarding a life partner.
Well, that's part one.
And then, if yes, what are the right questions to ask our Heavenly Father, which will prompt him to answer and direct us to the right answers in scriptures.
OK.
In short, the answer is yes. God's going to give you answers to questions you are asking about a future partner.
Using the written word of God, I guess that's your meaning … again the answer is yes. The written word of God is one of the ways that God speaks to us. And irrespective of what the issue at hand is, whether it's questions about the life partner or anything else, the scriptures in their written form is, has been, and I believe will always remain a go to source for accessing the mind of God.
That's part one to your question.
Part 2, what are the questions to ask our heavenly father that would prompt him to guide us to the scriptures. I think it would be the same questions you would ask him if he was sitting right in front of you. What do you want to know? Ask and you will receive. Jesus said you ask, you shall receive because everyone who asks receives.
OK.
So I said that's the short form of the answers to your questions. But in application you will find that things are a little bit more involved than that.
I mean, OK, there are certain things you can ask God about someone, whoever that is, whether it's a business partner or romantic life partner or your own child, when the time comes or anybody … there's some things you can seek to know, you can ask God and the written word will be sufficient in delivering the answers you need.
But there are certain things you cannot ask and expect the answers to be in the pages of the Bible, for example.
Like let's say you have no idea of who you should marry. For example, you say, "oh God, what's this person's name?" Unless that person has a Bible-based name, it is not likely that the answer to that question will be found in the pages of the written scriptures. Answers to such specific questions will have to come as a product of direct promptings in your spirit by the Holy Spirit. There are degrees of insight that we require for our daily life's functioning that may not be available if you just flip your Bible pages open.
But what about if his/her first name is in my native mother tongue? There is no way that answer is going to be in the pages of the written word of God. It will have to be a product of something, a conversation between myself and the Lord that I am able to receive in person.
Whether I receive it in person personally or it comes as a word of prophecy or something else, maybe a word of knowledge through other human channels, whatever that human channel is, there has to be a personal relationship between that person and the Holy Spirit to be able to gain that information that is not written in black and white on the pages of the scriptures. No.
To be continued.
