Heavenly Father, today I lift up the men. My heart is burdened by the stress that so many are facing as they try to be a Godly man, being a spiritual leader, supporting their family, work stressors, the stress of financial responsibilities in this ever changing world, while I know many women also face similar struggles, I felt the weight of this today.
Father, strengthen Your men for the journey ahead. Help them to understand their dependence on You and be willing to give You the load as well as share the burden that they are under. Help them to remember Your burden is easy, despite what the world tries to tell them they don't have to do it alone. Lord, I pray that You would give men the courage and boldness to share these struggles with each other and with their spouses so they know they are not alone or somehow defective or any other lie the enemy might try to tell them.
Where there is depression, bring the joy of the Lord. Where there is anxiety, bring peace that surpasses all understanding. Where there is fear, help them to be strong and courageous in You. Where there is hopelessness, bring renewed hope. Where there is brokenness, bring comfort. Where there is pride, humble them before You so they do not fall. Where there is disunity bring unity and restoration. Where there is sickness bring healing to body, mind, soul and spirit. Where there is anger, give wisdom so that they may turn away from anger.
Lord, help men to build their lives upon You. Lord, place people in men's lives that will encourage and build them up to be the men that You created them to be, to walk with integrity and worthy of the calling You have placed on their lives. Lord I thank You for every man that is trying to live for You, help them to succeed for they are all son, spouses, brothers, dads, uncles, cousins and are needed for Your kingdom. In Jesus name, amen
