WZCC Spotlight Rationale: Shine the spotlight on people and their achievements and relate these to the creation of intellectual, economic and social value.

We are pleased to spotlight Dinshaw Tamboly; a member of the WZCC since its inception in India in 2003.

After Masters in Marketing and Sales Management from Berkshire (UK), Dinshaw worked in Senior Management positions for well known corporations such as Bombay Dyeing, Reliance Industries, and Tata Textiles for 18 years. In 1991, Dinshaw resigned from his job to embrace the Service Through Action mantra.

Since 1991, with funds from the WZO Trust, Dinshaw and his team of volunteers have demonstrated the Service Through Action mantra. They have

enabled 'down and out' Zarathushtis to get back on their feet and live with self-respect and dignity.
converted huts of Zarathushti farmers into cottages.
established the much needed Centre for senior Citizens at Navsari and a Sanatorium in Sanjan.
redeveloped old dilapidated buildings in Navsari gifted to the WZO Trust into apartments and made them available at nominal rent.
provided micro-credit interest free loans to 1242 Zoroastrian spread across 131 rural amd urban areas.

Dinshaw believes that education is the foundation upon which a nation is built. He believes that education is never an expense; it is always an investment, an investment in the future. He firmly believes that encouraging and motivating Zarathushti youth in developing their multiple skills as entrepreneurs is a sure way of Changing Lives Through Enterprise for the good of the Zarathushti and other communities.
