Luke 10:27-28 – The man answered, "'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "Right!" Jesus told him. "Do this and you will live!"
I find myself often asking the question, "What does Jesus want me to do today?" The problem is that as the day progresses, it always feels as though I fall short. That I made mistakes. That I could have done better in my walk with Him.
I cannot tell you the times that I have looked to Him to confess that I failed. I did not measure up. Please Lord what can I do? What do you want from me? I'm convinced that I'm never going to be able to deliver.
That has brought me to an ultimate question that I have pondered now for some time and that is, "What does Jesus want from me?"
The passage that I read this morning actually brought me to exactly the answer I needed to hear. What do you want from me God? The answer is simple: He wants my heart.

I can't believe that I could ever go through my life without failure or without the need to ask for forgiveness when I fall short. But I do know that Christ doesn't expect my perfection. He expects me to love Him which means to give Him my heart.
Stay healthy and have a blessed week!
