Values are the weight we assign to things. In rank order, certain things are more important than others.
Values are subjective. What important to one person may not be so to another.
Values can change depending on circumstance. Ice cream tastes different in the winter, for instance.
So, it stands to reason that no two individuals have identical values despite they may agree in principle (a fact that is often overlooked).
Decision making functions as a clarifier to our values. Pick A, B, or C for example.
If everyone picks A and you pick B, you can change your value to align with the group or pick a different crowd.
Sound simple? Not really.
What do you think is most difficult in decision making?
