Mistaken as beauty, until you'd, found out the, truth…translated…
I'd gone abroad and taken the photos, the guide took me to a special location by the sea that's secluded.
As the tide rises, the water embraced the beaches and the cliffs, when it receded, leaving behind the various shapes of bright, reflective puddles, producing the, irregular patterns—especially as the skies imprinted the blue against the mirror-like surfaces.
I'd asked curiously, if it was because the mineral content in the soils, that's brought out the radiant colors?
For a while, the guide remained, silent, and answered with reserves: actually, that was from the waste water upstream that were expelled out, caused by the repeated washing of the tides, and the waste materials had, saturated down.
chemical pollution, mistaken as something beautiful...photo by the writer, courtesy of UDN.com
Such a surprise! These weren't, the markings of water after all, but the scars of the environment.
I'd looked at the scarred covering all over the places, and they'd, expanded themselves outward, like they were, mocking my, ignorance.
I'd suddenly felt, something grew heavier on my, shoulders…………
What you'd, misunderstood as something beautiful, it wasn't, it's pollution, and, this showed, how the ignorance can, mislead people into believing something that's not real, or factual, and if we have many who followed ignorance's lead, then, we have, a country of, ignorant population, and they're easily, misled, and this is, too scary to think about.
