Being an introvert, I have people watching as one of my favorite pastimes. Yes, you may find that hard to believe. But whether it's in the mall, on the boardwalk, or at a busy pedestrian crosswalk, I enjoy just watching people.
Why the fascination, you may be wondering?
To me, everyone has a story. What they wear and how they behave, all shed clues about who they are: their family background, occupation, and moods. Where they have been and headed off to. It's like reading an investigative novel woven with real-life characters.
Plus, people form stories collectively. As a child, I watched a construction project near my home. Seeing how the workers as they performed various tasks, brought the pieces together, contributing to the overall progress was amazing to me.
Even now, people behaviors still fascinate me. No matter they're interpersonal or intrapersonal, I find them equally entertaining.
What do you think about people watching as a hobby?
