Our well-being is intractably tied to our health. Take freedom of movement or mobility as an example. Without it, we become prisoners of our bodies. Therefore, it stands to reason that taking care of our health promotew our well-being. Right?
However, common knowledge is not common practice. We often take our health for granted. In our finite existence, we push our limits, binging on things, sacrifice proper nutrition for fast foods, and focus our attention and energy on areas of life other than our health.
And, guess what? As we age, we pay the price. Our bodies cease to function like they once did. Aches and pains become more common occurences. Balance issue is causing us to wobble. How many can still touch their toes? Consequently, canes and reading glasses become necessities in our daily living.
It's worth repeating: if we want to sustain our well-being, take responsibility for our health. Do not wait until it becomes too late. By then, the quality of lives has already deteriorated.
What do you envision as your wellbeing?
