Daily blogging is a goal I set for myself. My blog has functioned as a training log when I was training for marathon and a journal at other times. Either way, the question of what to write is forever present and perennial. And then how to write it once I picked a subject.
On what to write, I've learned the practice to cultivate an idea garden - essentially, a stockpile of ideas that emerge at any given time. I record them on my mobile phone and save them as drafts in my blog for future use. The idea garden fulfills two roles: 1) as a repository of ideas and 2) as an incubator.
With the reserve of topics, it relieves the pressure when my creative juice runs dry or when I'm traveling with limited time. Moreover, certain ideas require time to develop. The incubator enables me to build a topic such as how to write it through readings and research.
I find the idea garden useful. It provides me a tool to cultivate ideas and maturing them in my own ways. It has been beneficial in my daily blogging activities. Perhaps it can help you as well.
What tips do you use for daily blogging?
