Daily Prompt: "What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?"
This prompt is so timely. It finds me in Day 3 of COVID infection. Me and two of my three kids. 11 and 10 years old.
Feel like a train wreck; their symptoms more mild; so taking care of them is mostly normal.
And so as I keep them going, I otherwise am just resting to recover and let the virus run its course.
And I'm supposed to be on scheduled FTO next week. Suddenly it feels like I'm leaving my work way short. Even tho' there are three others in my immediate group that can fill in, mostly, anyway.
Thus I face this very question: "What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?"
I answer as follows:
Prioritize my personal health needs and those of my immediate family;
Work to realize the organization will continue and find its way with others stepping in - that's the very power of an organization: Redundancy.
Believe in the personal value that while commitment, extra effort, and sacrifice at times for the organization is good and helpful and worth it,
The basic strategy, the cornerstone of health and well-being?
