What's so emotional about the Elections?

People getting emotional over the general elections is too weird to me. I mean, be interested in them if you already are, but getting emotional over it is viable??

Don't even read or watch the commentaries of the toxic supporters of both the sides.

BJP has swept the highest number of seats for the third consecutive time although not as it had expected, but still a win is a win. Heartfelt congratulations to the entire party for this feat.

INC and INDIA has performed this time far better than anyone had expected it to perform. An improvememt is an improvement. Heartfelt congratulations to INC and INDIA for that.

Both the sides are in high spirit, although due to different reasons.

Let them celebrate in their own way for their own reasons.

I am sure that this General Election has strengthened the power of the people more than of any political party. After, the democratic government is of the people, for the people, and by the people -Abraham Lincoln.

How I see elections is the winning political party is given the job to serve the people in the best possible way they can and if they won't they will have to resign after five years (5 years in India). The opposition is meant to criticize the government on behalf of the people for making improvememts in their governance and policies. Nobody becomes a despot and nobody becomes a loser. They all are meant to serve public under the roles assigned to them. -Preet

So, what is so emotional about it? Nothing at all, except the immediate response to the results by those who were directly involved in it.

Definitely some toxic internet goons cannot comprehend this, including media supporters from both the sides.

If people understand this basic thing, then there will be no divide and rule and there will be much more progress than fathomable but uneducated people are always going down the rabbit hole of pulling each-other's leg and making toxic commentaries than thinking about the welfare of all. Definitely a backward minded thinking that does not let the nation move forward with integrity and scientific spirit.

PS- Don't come to me with any political agenda and under-handed one-sided comments or do it anywhere else indirectly. I do not entertain emotionally unstable people.
