Acts 17:27 – "His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us."
Every year for 2 weeks, my family would take a vacation. It was almost every year that we would travel to the same place. We would all load up in Chicago, Illinois and drive a good 10 hours until we got to Memphis, Tennessee. It was there that we had relatives from both of my parents' sides of the family.
My dad did all he could to try and make that road trip enjoyable. But when you're grade school age, there is nothing about a long-distance road trip that is fun after the first 150 miles. You can listen to the radio, you can read, you can color, you can play cards, you can eat, but sooner or later, you get the wiggles. You know, that time when you can't be still in your seat. You kick the seat in front of you, you kick your brother, you kick your sister, and you finally curl low in your seat to avoid your dad from smacking you on the leg.
Eventually, while in emotional exhaustion, you commence a barrage of questions:
Dad, how much farther till we get there?
Dad, what time will we get there?
Mom, how much farther?
Ultimately, I now feel sorry for my parents. I was a thorn in their side.

As believers, we often lose sense of how close God is to us at all times. We imagine He is far away in heaven until we call on His name. We think He then makes that long-distance journey to speak with us as needed when we cry long and hard enough.
But God is never far away. He is right beside you all the time. Today, take comfort in His presence. He is not far away from any one of us. It doesn't take long to arrive at His door. He is God.
Stay healthy and have a blessed day!
