Friday PM

I also always look forward to Friday nights, even though I too don't have a traditional 9-5 job, I do switch off usually from work completely (think about it still!) but I love that weekend are just for Len and I. I have had an au pair now for a few months and Friday night I am usually using it as a social time, I will put Lenny to bed and use that time to either catch up with friends, maybe plan a date or I am keen to go back to doing dance classes! There is nothing better than crawling into bed after a busy and fulfilling week and ending it with my own social time and crawling back into bed with my boy.

Saturday AM

Start the morning with Pilates, my Pilates studio is for mums so they have a creche attached which is an actual life saver for me. We then love to get across to our local cafe Jerry's for my morning coffee and chino- I have two German shepherds that need walking so we usually get a takeaway and take the dog for a walk. Len is well and truly in his bike riding era so a good chunk of our weekend is spent with me chasing after him on the bike (which I surprisingly love!). We usually try and catch up with friends for the rest of the day.

Saturday PM

Saturday nights are usually Uber Eats nights (definitely not cooking on a Saturday night!) and then my evening is always super low key after I pop Lenny to bed! It is so nice to decompress after a busy week.

Sunday AM

Slow starts in our house on a Sunday morning, of course still I early wake up with kids though! Sundays are much the same in terms of getting out to our local cafe, walking the dogs and catching up with friends. I spend lots of time during the week working so I try and avoid on weekends if I can!!

Sunday PM

I spend the afternoon usually trying to clean up the house because I love to start my week feeling refreshed and ready to go. I will also try and do a big cook up Sunday afternoon so we have meals ready to go. In the past I have sometimes found weekends more challenging in terms of feeling a little isolated so keeping busy helps a lot.

Friday PM

It's odd because I always look forward to Friday nights, although I don't work a 9-5 and you're never off the clock as a parent, but mentally knowing it's the weekend ahead allows me to take the pressure off myself too. Friday nights usually consist of a delicious meal (delivered of course haha), a block of chocolate and watching a movie or TV show with my brother.

Saturday AM

We're always up early on a Saturday morning heading to our local cafe The Mediterranean, where no matter what we're bound to bump into someone we know. I'll head there with my three-year old son Sebastian and we spend our morning drinking cinos, eating smiley face cookies and chatting with friends. We then head to our local park to burn off some energy with some other friends and their kids. I like to keep weekends as free as possible unless I have an event or social get togethers.

Saturday PM

Much like my Friday nights, weekends use to consist of as much as possible and now they're the opposite. I love nothing more than to spend the night with my cousins who I'm very close with and relax as much as we can. Being so social in my work I welcome slow and quiet nights. On the occasion someone can watch Seb on a Saturday night I'll head out for dinner to one of my favourite restaurants with some friends either in Henley or North Adelaide at Gin Long- my absolute favourite!

Sunday AM

I'm fortunate that regularly on Sunday mornings my older cousin takes Seb for a few hours and I'm able to head to a reformer Pilates class or have a moment to have a coffee to myself. My go to when I have alone time is get a takeaway coffee and sit in my car by the beach and journal. I find it so therapeutic being able to reflect on the week that was and release whatever may be consuming my thoughts. I've been journaling consistently for 3 and a half years now and nothing gets me more aligned quicker than a quick brain dump.  Even a few hours of kid free time on the weekend can fill my cup.

Sunday PM

Sunday nights my brother and I are usually cooking dinner together either Mexican wraps or meat and veg (we're not too adventurous). My son goes into care on Monday so I'm always gearing up for a busy Monday and 6am alarm for Pilates so I welcome a quiet early night
