Some are lucky as they are quickly removed and placed in a corner where the breeze cannot blow it out. Yet stands still, the orange flames straight and tall but the rest of it melting down. For some there is no one to help and it tries hard to stand straight against the breeze till it finally is blown out.
Candles do come out on special moments and some particular event. Either to celebrate or to grieve or just to hold and pray in belief and trust in the one above. But whenever they are out they give themselves up either to the happiness of someone or to join in the grief in memory or simply because we trust. We might have so many light switched on at that moment but without the candle it seems not complete.
Recently I witnessed a change , the concept of blowing out candles on the cake has gradually been stopped. It is just lit beside and removed once done . It is only then that is blown out. We need to keep it burning people believe only then our prayers are heard for happiness, peace, fulfilment, faith , desires and love.
Candles just add to the beauty around and to the happiness as they provide both the light and the fragrance that changes everything around. Even though we know they will not last yet we keep it safe in a place where it is not blown out by the slightest of breeze.
Arent we all like the candle? We give so much in our lives for everything around to one day we are blown off all of a sudden. There is no one who can light us back again. Some try hard when they see our light diminishing by taking care and giving all the treatment and protection as we know if we are blown out there is no light to get us back to life again.
So treat everyone around with love and care. Help them when the breeze is strong , help them to stand on their feet because whatever they do they will give up time and energy and so much more to make way.
