In this match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the match by 60 runs with Punjab Kings (PBKS) due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, RCB was placed in the 7th position with 10 points in the points table of IPL 2024.

Earlier, PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first thus RCB first batted and made a huge score of 241/7 in 20 overs due to great batting by Virat Kohli 92 (47), Rajat Patidar 55 (23), and Cameron Green 46 (27). Harshal Patel 3/38 (4), Vidhwath Kaverappa 2/36 (4), and Arshdeep Singh 1/41 (3), were good bowling from the PBKS side. After this inning, RCB set a huge target of 242 runs for PBKS to win this match.

During chasing, PBKS was all out at only 181 runs and loses the match by 60 runs with RCB due to great bowling by Mohammed Siraj 3/43 (4), Swapnil Singh 2/28 (3), and Lockie Ferguson 2/29 (3). Rilee Rossouw 61 (27), Shashank Singh 37 (19), and Jonny Bairstow 27 (16) were good batting from the PBKS side.

Virat Kohli (RCB), 92 (47), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in batting in this match.
