May 10

In our My Weekend interview series this week we vcatch up with Alicia Coutts, former Australian Olympic swimmer. Noq focused on nurturing her wonderful family and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Alicia remains closely connected to water activities.

As a mother to three boys with another child on the way, Alicia's weekends in Brisbane are bustling. She's constantly seeking ways to keep her children entertained and safe.

Motherhood has heightened Alicia's awareness of water safety, understanding how quickly situations can change when little ones are near water. She's made teaching her kids about the Kingswim Water Safety Program and attending lessons a key priority in their lives.

Friday PM

Friday afternoon, I pick the boys up from school and daycare. We head home for some afternoon tea and wait for daddy to come home before we usually jump in the pool for a relaxing afternoon swim before bath, dinner and bedtime, ready for a fun filled family weekend.

Saturday AM

Saturday morning, we head down to the local AFL field for Noah to play Auskick. Steve and Noah both get involved while myself and the other boys like to go for a nice morning walk on the walking path. After Auskick, we usually go and catch up with the boys Nannie for some shopping and a bite to eat. Plus, we can't forget about all the housework!

Saturday PM

Saturday afternoon we like to go over our Kingswim water safety storybook and refresh ourselves on our water safety in and around the pool, before we head to swimming lessons with Kingswim on Sunday morning! The boys are just loving their lessons at Kingswim. It is a highlight of their week!

Sunday AM

We get up bright and early and all head to Kingswim for the three boys swimming lessons. Leo is up first, then Noah and Mason is last. Steve and I alternate weekly with who gets in and does lessons with Mason so he is confident with both of us in and around the water! After swimming, we pop to the local bakery for a little post swimming brekky.

Sunday PM

Sunday afternoon we like to try and have a bit of relaxation time, some quiet time to make sure we are recovered for the following week, a quiet movie together or an afternoon nap for the boys. Sometimes, the boys practice their water safety knowledge with Kingswim's colouring in sheets and activities found on their website.

The boys are always asking to go in the pool, so when the weather in nice we definitely make the most of our time in the pool. I usually head to the shops child free and get the groceries for the week while the boys have some quiet time at home with daddy.
