In business controlling your emotions helps with focus. When there are changes in plans, changing situations that upend 'sure' deals, financial roadblocks and supply crisis a level and clear head is needed. Navigating the minefield without crumbling under pressure can only work with emotional control.

In the beginning learning emotional control was a priority area of development, and my intentional focus on this was late, but had been a lesson well learned.

Setting oneself up and starting a business can look like a fairytale. The image of immediate success or simply success along the way overshadows the reality of what happens in real life. Tales of glory, winning and following the steps of others for similar results is a big industry. Everyone can build and write their life success story - once you don't give up.

Looking back, the euphoria of starting my third business venture was energetic and filled with adrenaline. I knew and believed that success would come, and as it did, the lessons came for the ride. Resilience is key to success.

Adapting swiftly was unconsciously done, as second nature based on tough situations from childhood, and it helped with 'bad day blues'. When things did not line up, for whatever the reason, gave myself a moment to stop briefly, and change the outcome of the day. Mindfulness is a big tool on your success in business journey.

When you work for yourself, employ others, and have responsibilities your 'bad days have to be brief.' There is monumental risk when you're all in and invested in your dream. Leveraging resources and self with agile precision can change the day from bad to badass! Some of my most innovative and creative solutions have come from leveraging crisis into opportunity.

Your superpowers come out when you let them take over. As the entrepreneurial superhero of your business life, you will find your success with every 'near end encounter' averted. Exhale. Line up your ducks in a row - and stay focused. You got this!
