In follow-up to my post called "Drip, drip, drip of dissent continues to puddle," the following is an excerpt from an email from a North Carolina attorney that he called "Proof positive."
"The following people have been up close and personal with Trump by serving in his administration: former Vice President Mike Pence; former Attorney General Bill Barr; former Chief of Staff John Kelly; former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper; former White House Counsel Ty Cobb; former National Security Advisor John Bolton; former Secretary of Defense James Mattis; former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley; former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson; former National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster; former Secretary of Education Betsy Devos; former Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chou; former Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer; former Homeland Security Advisor Tom Bossert; former Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci; former Communications Director Stephany Grisham; former Director of Strategic Communication Alyssa Farrow Griffin; former Press Secretary Sarah Matthews; former White House Aide Cassidy Hutchinson. What do they all have in common? They think that Trump is unfit to serve as President. They will not support him and they will not vote for him. That is PROOF POSITIVE!"
This should be impactful to those who are on the outer onion layers of the MAGA crowd. The inner core of the MAGA onion will find some reason to rationalize this away.
Seeing Cassidy Hutchinson's name reminds me of a quote from Trump in her book "Enough," when he said: "I cannot tell people I lost, go change it." If you re-read Hutchinson's quote from Trump, it is a window into the fragile ego of the former president - he cannot own up to losing.
