My Weekend with Stephanie Korn, Co-Founder of Swimwear Brand, Form and Fold

Ever been frustrated trying to find swimwear that fits a larger bust? Enter Form and Fold, an Australian swim brand that has made global waves with its focus on providing stylish options for D+ cup women. We have admired this brand from afar and have recently had a chance to try the label (our Editor-in-Chief MJ swears by the Glitter set she wore all summer). We caught up with busy Melbourne based Co-Founder, Stephanie Korn, to find out how she spends her precious weekend downtime.

Form and Fold The Glitter Top

Friday PM

Friday nights can go one of two ways, a quiet dinner at home or I'll be grabbing one of the last spots outside at The Royal Oak, a bistro pub in Melbourne's inner north catching the last of Melbourne's afternoon sunshine. My partner and I are going straight to the bar to order a schnitzel with mustard gravy and a funky wine while we catch up and energise each other after an eventful and busy week.

Saturday AM

Saturday mornings start with a strong homemade coffee (this week is Padre beans), a quick look at emails, then it's time to move! It's the most beautiful Autumn morning, so my partner and I are out the door early with our energetic Kelpie to pick up an egg sandwich from our local bakery Loafer and on to a long walk around Darebin Parklands.

Saturday PM

Saturday afternoons are such a nice time of day! I'm relaxing after a long walk and starting to check in with friends. We are most likely meeting up in The Railway courtyard, a hidden gem for the inner north, or in a friend's back garden. Tonight, we are seeing some live music at Margaret Court Arena, which brings me so much joy to sing and dance to some of my favourite songs with friend.

Sunday AM

We are hydrated and ready to get to the beach. Summer is over, but we aren't missing an opportunity to soak up the Autumn sun at the dog-friendly end of Mount Martha Beach. I'm wearing my favourite Form and Fold swimwear pieces, The Crop Top and The 90s Rise Grape and hoping to spot some customers in it too! I'm most likely snacking on Boulder Canyon chips and blissing out reading The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. Today is all about rest and recovery.

Sunday PM

Sunday nights I'm usually craving a home cooked meal and a bit of pottering around the house. My boyfriend and I love cooking together, its therapeutic and relaxing for both of us. Tonight, we are making handmade pasta and bolognese which is a labour of love. For the rest of the night, it's all about down regulating and soaking up the last few hours of the weekend before I'm back into business mode.

About Form and Fold

Frustrated by the limited options available for D+ swimwear, lifelong friends Carly Warson and Stephanie Korn launched Form and Fold. The brand quickly caught the attention of major international retailers eager to offer more size-inclusive options.

Founders Stephanie and Carly had always faced difficulties finding swimwear that fit properly and felt good. Motivated by their own discomfort at the beach, they established Form and Fold in 2017, dedicating three years to develop swimwear that was both functional and stylish for women with D+ cup sizes. "We grew up seeing our friends have a plethora of shopping options while we were limited to a small section; it was both restrictive and disheartening," Carly explained. "Our goal was to empower ourselves and other women by creating a line that was not only supportive and comfortable for larger cup sizes but also visually appealing."

In just a few years, the brand has gained a large following in Australia and is now expanding internationally, with prestigious stockists such as Harrods, Browns, Matches Fashion, and Net-a-Porter. Shop the range here.
