1 John 2:24-25 – "So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us."
This morning, when I woke, I was already thinking of all the various things I needed to do and accomplish for the day. The cases I needed to work on, the client meetings, and all the phone calls.
Just when I thought I might rest for a few more moments, I found myself rising from the bed with that slight anxiety created by my mental to-do list. As I did my Bible reading for the morning and prayer time, I came across this particular verse. The word 'enjoy' leaped from the page.
The thought that I can enjoy my eternal life now made me smile. At times, each of us think about one day when we'll get to enjoy our time with Christ in eternity, after this life has passed. But the reality is that our eternal life began when we gave our heart to Christ and we were born again. It is in that Fellowship that we enjoy even our eternal life that has begun in Christ Jesus now. Not just in hope for the future.

Today, be encouraged. You are here for just a short time on earth. But your eternal life is forever. Your fellowship and enjoyment in Christ, it has already started.
Stay healthy and have a blessed week!
