Our oldest daughter sent me some pictures and text which I wanted to share.
"I was thinking, as I was putting together these blocks, how much a quilt is like our walk with the Lord."
"There are things that seem insignificant, different lessons we learn or different seasons we are in."
"Each unique in their own way, but surprisingly not insignificant."
"How the Lord uses those circumstances, seasons of life, lessons, whatever, to help us grow, we rarely comprehend."
"Yet, He is the Craftsman and He knows exactly how every piece fits together."
"God uses everything little thing in His master plan."
"I don't think we will see what He is doing till we get to heaven, but Im looking forward to see how He is piecing me together."
"It shows me too, as I'm sitting here doing the same step over and over, messing up and ripping out seams and redoing it, that the Lord never stops working.. I just might not being seeing the end result."
I needed this reminder.
God has everything perfectly timed and is patiently working.
Psalm 127:1 KJV — A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word! Thank You for reminding me that You are the One who is working in and through life's circumstances. Lord, thank You for the reminder that I can't see how all the pieces fit together, but I can choose to trust You as You fit one piece together at a time. Lord, thank You for being in my life daily. Thank You for using that which I see as insignificant. Lord, thank You for being so patient both with me as well as with Your work. Lord, please help me be diligent in today, seeking Your face and walking in Your ways. I love You. Amen.
