He/she is well positioned for delivering efficient and effective management of the human resources programmes life cycle including recruitment and selection; contract administration; onboarding; performance management; leave management; learning and development, and also ensuring that their internal customers are knowledgeable of the University's policies, rules and regulations. He/she collaborates with the Heads of Division/College/Faculty/School in order to deliver value added services to staff. This relationship engenders mutual confidence, trust and respect. JOB SPECIFICATIONS A. SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS: I. At least a first degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualifications. 2. Postgraduate qualification in the related discipline is an asset. SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of UTech. Jamaica Act, policies, procedures, regulations and Ordinances and structures and operations.
- Knowledge of the Public Sector Staff Orders
- Sound knowledge of the Jamaican Labour Relations and other related Acts
- Sound knowledge of human resources theories and practices
