More coffee please
I've crept, I've cried, I've laughed, I've slept and leapt into my 17 year old body today on February 29th 2024!
Frogs leap, cats leap, hares, galagos, lemurs, antelope, goats, springhare, kangaroo rat and kangaroos leap and so do I!
Once every 4 years we come out of hiding and make a splash to celebrate that we will never be 26 and remain forever young!
I'm shooting for 27 which would make me 108 assuming I'm bionic by then. In dog years, I'd be dead!
In the meantime, we take the moments as they come rain or shine, hoping for more bright days than dark.
And when our time on earth expires, I'll circle back and be the wind in your sail to remind you to keep on leaping no matter what life brings.
Be your best self whether you're a baby born today, in your teens or early 20's and have fun with this whimsical, creative day.
Happy birthday to all the leap year babies I know, Pam, Gary, Mark and Kimberly and all the ones I've yet to meet tonight!
A special thanks to my friend Kym from Behind the Pen for her kind Leap Year Birthday wish for me today too. She is a dear and look what she created for all of us that share the day. Please share if your birthday is today!
Hugs and love for a great weekend. Leap into the new month with renewed joy and faith! Good news, my dad checked into a rehab facility yesterday and is on the mend. Thank soooo much for your prayers and wishes. We're off tomorrow in the rain to Capitola with all the girls so we can swim in the hot springs. The babies can even go in! It's the R & R we've all been needing! I'll be spotty with comments and reading but I will be checking in as time permits.
