Matthew 6:5-8 – "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
There is no substitute for talking to God alone. We often experience most of our prayer time to be those prayers that are said in the presence of others. But the real conversation often begins behind closed doors.

It is only then that we can truly express our hearts and our souls before the Lord.
This is a time when real honesty often begins. There are often things that we are not going to say in public in prayer or even in the presence of friends and family that we really need to talk to God about.
Today, be alone with God and talk to Him about the deepest places in your heart. The things that you would never say before others but what needs to be said none the less. Know that the time you spend alone with God is among the most important moments of your life.
Stay healthy and have a blessed day!
