No matter how much data and artificial intelligence we tap, life will always be unpredictable. This is as certain as death and tax (paraphrasing Ben Franklin). The good news is that we don't have to face life alone. Relationships can help if we seize the opportunities.
Some may object that relationship itself can be just unpredictable and difficult (as life). That is true. But here is the difference - we hold sway over the quality of our relationships. Whether it's navigating through challenges or finding reconciliations, our relationships can add spices and increase the odds of success in this journey of life.
Take a look at the "successful" people. They did not achieve what they have by themselves. They had helps. Chances are someone opened the door for them, gave them a chance, or was available in their time of needs. Granted, they had to be cognizant of the relationship and cultivating to make it work.
Few in life can make it on their own.
On the flip side, failure in relationships is indicative of a need to develop emotional maturity. A successful relationship with the self is pre-requisite to others. Otherwise, life can be a unfulfilling experience. Because life will keep on throwing us curve balls. Which can threaten our relationships.
Who is your most important relationship?
