Motherhood is HARD and WONDERFUL at the Same Time.
For some strange reason, our brains like to stay in black-and-white thinking.
It likes to see things as either POSITIVE or NEGATIVE, so it can more easily sort through the feelings that come from different experiences.
It likes to warn us about potential dangers and also alert us to things that cause us to have wonderful, peaceful feelings.
The challenge is that not much in life, especially when dealing with others, is ever really an either/or situation.
In my opinion, mothering is the hardest job on this earth.
Because the ones you serve are the ones you love the most.
So, your emotions are constantly pulled in two opposite directions.
The care and keeping of YOURSELF, and then the care and keeping of your little loves.
Motherhood most days can leave you feeling a bit like a yo-yo.
The first thing to help us as Mamas is to accept this fact.
The highs and lows, the ups and down, they are ALL COMPLETELY NORMAL.
It's when we think things should be totally different that it causes us pain because we can never reconcile our day to the perfection we think we seek.
That doesn't mean that we don't work to find better rhythms for our days and tactics to make things run more smoothly.
Every single mama I have coached has experienced this in one season or another.
Because we are so used to giving to others, we often put our own needs off to the side and never seem to get back to them.
But having a COACH to not only remind you of who you were before children, and who you still are inside, can then help you to begin to shift your thinking.
To put the oxygen mask on YOURSELF FIRST, so you can then have the capacity to POUR INTO those you LOVE MOST, is vital to your health as a woman, as a mama, and as a caregiver.
For some reason, some of society or the church has taught us that we must live only for others and that subtle shift has caused mamas to try to care for and lead their children from an exhausted capacity.
This mentality is not sustainable long-term. There should be a balance. If God has given you this amazing opportunity to steward the care and keeping of littles, then although it can be hard work, it can and should be a work we do yoked to Jesus, whose burden is EASY and LIGHT.
Are you ready to learn how to create more balance in your life as a Mama, get rid of MOM GUILT, and begin to ENJOY being a Mama as you let go of the limiting beliefs, learn how to fill up more on God's LOVE and ACCEPTANCE of you, so you can then POUR into your babes in a way that brings you JOY?
