| William Emmons January 24 | There are some people God specifically places in our path, and they are put there for a reason. Both your life and theirs will be enriched because of that relationship. There are others He divinely removes. These leave because they will be a hinderance to the life and destiny the Lord has planned for us. They may not be bad people, but they will be those who are no longer connected to our destiny. They hold the potential to sidetrack or redirect what God intends for us to do. They are not against us, but they are not for us either. That's because they no longer support the life and ministry we have been given. It's interesting to note that John says it's easy to recognise those who are no longer part of our life. 1 John 2:19 says "They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; " When people leave your life, it may very well be God removing those who are no longer "of" you. That is they are going to be a distraction that stops you from walking in your full potential in the Lord. When people "go out from you", let them go! Today's Word: Never try to hold onto those who go out from you. Their leaving is God's way of keeping you from unnecessary distractions. | | | |
