[7] Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. [8] You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. [9] Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for reminding us that time on Earth is short. It may seem long from our perspective, but compared to eternity, it's but a moment. Lord Jesus, please keep my tongue from speaking falsely. Lord, please keep my lips from boasting or my words from harming others. Lord, put a guard over my heart, that I might not sin against You. Lord Jesus, please teach us how to pray, that we might speak words of edification and encouragement. Lord, let no unwholesome talk come out of my mouth, but only that which will benefit those who listen. Lord, please teach me how to listen.
