A still hibernating air dominates the day. Symbolically the new year marks a new start filled with fresh hopes. But in reality, it's a continuation from where the 2023 left off. People will press on with their lives meanwhile new laws are being enacted across the land including the minimum wage going up for nearly half of the states. Thanks also to the holiday, my inbox is less inundated by emails and notifications. This gives me a chance to catch up on the flurry of business that took place at the year end.
