We thank God for being faithful when we aren't because the truth is, we fall short and miss the mark. However, we should not have a lackadaisical attitude towards our commitment to God. Not being faithful should never be a theme, or pattern one embraces.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him."
God is looking for people whose heart is fully His and are loyal to Him.
Often times we make promises to God hoping to receive specific outcomes, but sometimes we fail to remain consistent in our actions once He has come through for us.
Thank God for His grace and mercy, but let us not take it lightly. Let us not be okay with tightening our bond with God for a season just so He can fulfill our desires.
A day ago, I shared how dedicating your home or living space is equivalent to dedicating your heart to God. I also wrote that taking authority has little to do with controlling people, but more to do with knowing your identity in Christ and fighting from your heavenly seat.
You are a holy generation. ❤️๐ฅ
Please understand that holiness is not a look nor is it just a lifestyle. It is a state of being.
It is living in the awareness that your life has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
To be redeemed is to be saved from sin, restored, repaired, and avenged.
Not only did Jesus exchange His life for ours, but now we are His. Not only are we His but we are a part of His body.
Understanding this helps us to understand who we are, whose we are, how we engage in spiritual warfare as children of God, and why we can make the declaration that we have already won the victory over sin and death!
The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12, "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
We also know that we are seated with Christ.
๐Still, fighting from your heavenly seat requires wisdom, strategy, and a consecrated life before God.
One will do themselves a disservice if they are praying for breakthroughs, deliverance, and blessings from "God" but continue to do what's contrary to the word and ways of God.
It's not punishment when God doesn't answer a prayer its protection.
Some are unaware of the warfare that is attached to what they have been asking for.
Some are asking for things out of season.
Some are asking for things they won't desire once God has purified their motives and realigned them with their true prophetic destiny.
Some have said, Lord, your word says you will give me the desires of my heart and you have said right. However, those things must be according to His will. So He says seek ye first the kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:33)
When you desire God above all, you begin to desire the things of God. You desire those things He wants for your life which is what's best for your life.
We have to position ourselves spiritually for some
of the things our heart desires.
As a child of God, you have a responsibility. We cannot continue to grasp a watered down gospel that says a lukewarm life is acceptable.
Are you consistent with God just for the time you want a new job, money, house, spouse, car, or warfare to decrease?
Have you truly given your heart to the Lord?
Are you fighting from a place of victory or fighting just to get an earthly reward?
Outside of others praying for you, what consistent prayers are you lifting for yourself?
Do you have a prayer life?
Are you standing on the authority of Scripture?
Do you have time set aside for devotion with the Lord where you are studying His word which is extremely important in the life of a someone who is in a relationship with God.
Are you in a local assembly where the word of God is taught to grow and mature you?
Are you living a consecrated life?
Are you willing to let go of what God says to?
Are you feeding your spirit with the right things?
If not, this causes spiritual breeches regardless of how many times someone prays for you, or fasts with you.
Child of God, you must stand in your place of authority.
You must come from among the world and be separated. ❤️๐ฅ
That person you called to pray doesn't just have power or good words they use when they pray. You called them because they can get a prayer through and guess what? It cost them something.
You want a prophesy? Guess what, it will cost you something to live it out.
Are you willing to pay the price? Are you ready to take your place in your Father's kingdom?
You call certain ones because you perceive that they have a relationship with God, and not like ones say today. Their god never addresses their sin, rebellion, and ungodly lifestyle.
No, the ones you call live a consecrated life and are submitted to God.
So if you had them pray with you for your home, or your breakthrough but nothing changed as you would like it, please remember that you have a part to play.
If a house is cleaned, and the owner doesn't maintain it and it becomes dirty, can they blame the cleaner for having insects and codwebs?
So I ask, are you maintaining your spiritual life? That is important when agreeing on anything.
When you receive prayer do you put all the responsibility on the intercessor? Do you allow your prayer partners to fast but go about your day eating and not being prayerful?
For this reason, we need to be mindful of what fast or prayers to join in with because you will be engaging in warfare while the other person isn't keeping the vow and they are the ones in need.
You must build your own altar or you will constantly seek after another's oil. You must have your own prayer life and spiritual prescriptions.❤️๐ฅ
So ask yourself, am I willing to contend in faith? After I've prayed, fast, and done what God said, am I patiently waiting in faith, or do I get frustrated and return to my idols when God doesn't answer?
Child of God, this year, the Lord wants consistency in your walk with Him. Your growth and destiny depends on it.
What is blocking your consistency? That is the thing to deal with so you can surrender your heart.
Ask God to satisfy you. Ask God to renew your mind along with meditating on His Word. This is a light thing for God but it will take your participation and a yielded heart.
