Behold, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; But You have kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have hurled all my sins behind Your back. Isaiah 38:16-17 I am noticing the theme of health and sickness tied to sin. Bitterness and unforgiveness also impact our health. Both are sins, but rooting them out can feel harder than other sins. It is only when we give our bitterness and unforgiveness to God and allow Him to keep it so He can cast that sin behind Him that we are able to find healing. God doesn't want bitterness to settle in our hearts. They are poison to us. Lord, helped me to keep forgiveness in my heart and to get rid of all bitterness.
